Starting from Challenge Period 6, we added 2 new locations and increased the number of prizes from 300 to 350 for each challenge period.
How to participate in the upgraded challenge?
Within the designated challenge periods,
- Take photos at one of the 6 designated waterworks facilities (Sheung Shui Dongjiang water mains, Plover Cove Reservoir, Tai Lam Chung Reservoir, High Island Reservoir, Tin Shui Wai H2OPE Centre or Shenzhen Reservoir) or the Exhibitions to Celebrate the 60th Anniversary of Dongjiang Water Supply to Hong Kong (Dancing Water Drops Exhibition or Colouring and Drawing Competitions Exhibition);
- Share your creative photos of facility or exhibition on Instagram, Facebook or RedNote in a public post (Important: Each post should only include creative photos of one designated waterworks facility or exhibition);
- Add the hashtag "#東江60" (Instagram/Facebook/RedNote) and tag "@watersavedave.hk" (Instagram) or "@Water Save Dave" (Facebook) to your public post; and
- Send a screenshot of the post with the photo to the email address dj60@wsd.gov.hk with the email subject “DJ60”.
Complete the above steps for a chance to win a prize!
8 designated periods for the Challenge are as follows:-
- Challenge Period 1: January 28, 2025 to February 10, 2025;
- Challenge Period 2: February 11, 2025 to February 24, 2025;
- Challenge Period 3: February 25, 2025 to March 10, 2025;
- Challenge Period 4: March 11, 2025 to March 24, 2025;
- Challenge Period 5: March 25, 2025 to April 7, 2025;
- Challenge Period 6: April 8, 2025 to April 21, 2025;
- Challenge Period 7: April 22, 2025 to May 5, 2025;
- Challenge Period 8: May 6, 2025 to May 18, 2025;
The first 300 participants to complete the above steps on Instagram or Facebook, or the first 50 participants to complete the above steps on RedNote, in each challenge period will receive a limited edition Water Save Dave family blind box.

*Citizens can exit at Exit C of Sheung Shui MTR Station, head west along Choi Yuen Road to Sheung Shui Ambulance Station, and then take the road next to the temporary Kowloon Bus Depot along Choi Shun Street to reach the decoration.
Detailed Terms and Conditions
- Number of winners (Instagram and Facebook): (starting from challenge period 6, 300 winners per challenge period); Number of winners (RedNote)：50 winners per challenge period.*
- The challenge will last until May 18, 2025 11:59pm
- Each Instagram, Facebook or RedNote account will only receive a prize once for taking photo on the same designated waterworks facility or exhibition.
- If the information or screenshot/photo provided are incomplete, inappropriate or unclear, the Water Supplies Department may disqualify the submission without further notice.
- Winners must claim the prize at the designated redemption location within the designated period. If winner fails to claim the prize before the deadline, or cannot be contacted, he or she will be deemed to have given up the right to claim the prize, and his or her eligibility for winning the prize will be cancelled. The Water Supplies Department will not make any further notice nor arrange to reissue the prizes, and reserves the right to dispose of the relevant prizes.
- The Water Supplies Department will notify the winners via email before May 30, 2025 for prize collection arrangements.
- The Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region may publish the photos provided by participants for promotional and publicity purposes in future without prior notice.
- Participants must pay attention to safety when taking photos and should not engage in dangerous behavior or enter into prohibited areas. If the submitted photo involves dangerous behavior or trespassing into prohibited areas, the submission will be disqualified.
- Participants are deemed to have agreed and accepted these terms and conditions when participating in the challenge.
- Water Supplies Department reserves the right of final decision in case of any disputes.
*Challenge Period 1-5: Number of winners: 2000 (250 winners per challenge period); Number of winners (RedNote)：50 winners per challenge period (starting from challenge period 4).
