Integrating into the peaceful nature and restless city seamlessly, Hong Kong's waterworks installations such as reservoirs, dams, water treatment works and service reservoirs have become part of our daily lives. When we are enjoying quality drinking water, have we ever thought about the waterworks installations serving us over the decades and the precious water resources that nurture the earth and all living creatures? The theme "Cherish Water Resources" aims at reminding everybody to cherish waterworks installations as well as to protect our natural water resources.
The Water Supplies Department now launches a "Cherish Water Resources" Waterworks Installations Drawing Competition to encourage the public to express, through their creativity and imagination, the concept of "Cherish Water Resources" by using Hong Kong's waterworks installations as the creative element. The competition aims at enhancing people's understanding of Hong Kong's waterworks installations and reminding people to cherish these installations as well as water resources. Entries will have a chance to be printed on publications and souvenirs to help promoting water conservation in the community.
