To let the public have a better understanding of water quality and water treatment process, Ma On Shan Water Treatment Works was opened for public visit on 1 December 2012. The open day was also listed as one of the celebration activities to mark the 15th anniversary of HKSAR. Over 1,000 visitors were guided by our staffs for a technical tour on the whole water treatment process with exhibitions on leakage detection, water science, water meters, replacement and rehabilitation of water main, Quality Water Recognition Scheme for Buildings and Total Water Management. Visitors found the tour fruitful and enjoyable.
