WSD set up an exhibition booth at the “InnoCarnival 2017” organised by the Innovation & Technology Commission from 21-29 October 2017 to introduce to the public the pilot smart water supplies information system that was being developed to tie in with the modernised water network management. The exhibition booth employed display boards and an interactive touch panel to allow the public to understand in an interesting way how the system performs near real-time data collection and data analysis of the conditions of water supplies from source to consumer ends and thus enhances WSD’s central monitoring of the water supply network.
