To reinforce communication and interaction with the District Councils, the Water Supplies Department (WSD) invited the Eastern District Council (EDC) members to visit the Tai Tam Waterworks Heritage Trail on 14 December 2018. Eastern District Council Chairman WONG Kin-pan, Assistant District Officer Rayson LO Cheuk-lun, Eastern District Council members and Home Affairs Department staff visited the historic waterworks structures at Tai Tam which some of them are declared as the statutory monuments since 2009, and learned the history of the water supply on Hong Kong Island. After the tour, Director of Water Supplies WONG Chung-leung together with the WSD staff had a discussion with the EDC members regarding the water supply in the Eastern District and received valuable opinions on the services of WSD at the Tai Tam Tuk Raw Water Pumping Station
