The Water Supplies Department (WSD) set up an exhibition booth at the “Eco Expo Asia 2023”, which was held from 26 to 29 October 2023, to introduce the pilot projects of floating solar power system implemented at Shek Pik Reservoir, Plover Cove Reservoir and Tai Lam Chung Reservoir in order to enhance the public’s understanding of the development and application of renewable energy initiatives by WSD. Other than introduction of the above pilot projects and the advantages of the floating solar power system, exhibition panels also introduced the upcoming large-scale renewable energy projects implemented by WSD, including installations of 5 MW floating solar farm at Plover Cove Reservoir and a 10 MW solar farm at South East New Territories Landfill.
