22 March of each year is the World Water Day, designated by the United Nations. WSD published a newspaper supplement on the day to enhance public awareness of the importance of sustainable use of water resources and promote water conservation. The supplement also covered the territory-wide water main replacement and rehabilitation programme, water saving devices retrofitting project, Water Efficiency Labelling Scheme (WELS) and the water conservation campaign for primary schools.
