牛潭尾濾水廠擴展工程 為應付新界西北部發展計劃（包括元朗南、洪水橋/ 廈村、新 田科技城、橫洲、丹桂村及朗邊）以及北部都會區發展計劃帶 來的用水需求增長，我們計劃擴建牛潭尾濾水廠。 根據這些新發展的初步規劃及其實施計劃，我們計劃在首階段 擴建牛潭尾濾水廠，將每日濾水量由 23 萬立方米增加至 44 萬 立方米。在工程中我們會預留相關配套以便日後作第二期擴 建，屆時每日濾水量將提升至64 萬立方米，以滿足新發展計 劃的潛在需求。 此外，連接大埔濾水廠和上水濾水廠的現有輸水系統亦將會升 級，以配合新界北規劃發展項目（包括古洞北、粉嶺北、落馬 洲河套地區）及粉嶺/ 上水其他新房屋發展項目所帶來的中期 用水需求。 為就長遠的供水計劃做好規劃工作，我們已聘請顧問公司進行 可行性研究，全面檢視北部都會區的發展帶來的新增用水需 求，兼併考慮其他相關供水策略如建設新濾水廠等，務求提升 供水系統的可靠性和應變能力。 Ngau Tam Mei Water Treatment Works Extension To meet the growing water demand arising from the planned developments in the Northwest New Territories (including Yuen Long South, Hung Shui Kiu/Ha Tsuen, San Tin Technopole, Wang Chau, Tan Kwai Tsuen and Long Bin), as well as other new developments in the Northern Metropolis Development Plan, we will extend the Ngau Tam Mei Water Treatment Works. Considering the early stage planning and implementation of these new development projects, we plan to extend the daily treatment capacity of the Ngau Tam Mei Water Treatment Works from 230 000 m3 to 440 000 m3 in the first-stage extension. The relevant civil works provisions would allow up to the ultimate capacity of 640 000 m3 per day to facilitate the future expansion in line with the potential needs of new development projects. In addition, the existing trunk transfer system between Tai Po Water Treatment Works and Sheung Shui Water Treatment Works will also be upgraded to cater for the medium-term fresh water demand arising from the planned developments in the Northern New Territories (including Kwu Tung North, Fanling North, Lok Ma Chau Loop) and other new developments in Fanling/Sheung Shui areas.
